Port Agent Piraeus

Piraeus Ship Agency and Port Services

Hold your vessels on schedule at Greece's largest port and the eastern Mediterranean's major container hub with agents based in Athens. VertomCory's Athens office provides port agency and husbandry for container, cruise, bulk, tanker, and RoRo traffic at Piraeus and the wider Attica port area.

Under COSCO's management of the container terminal, Piraeus has become one of the Mediterranean's top container transhipment ports, handling over 5 million TEU alongside its traditional role as Greece's principal passenger and cargo port.

Smooth Container and Cargo Operations at Piraeus

Keep delays down with pre-arrival coordination of pilotage, berthing, and terminal liaison managed by the Athens team across Piraeus's diverse facilities. Greek customs (Τελωνεία) clearance, cargo documentation, and Piraeus Port Authority (OLP) formalities are completed ahead of arrival.

Container transhipment, cruise calls at the cruise terminal, bulk operations, and RoRo traffic for the Greek islands each receive specific terminal coordination and documentation handling.

Keep the call compliant with Greek and EU customs, environmental, and maritime safety regulations throughout the call. Documentation, Hellenic Coast Guard filings, and any terminal-specific or cruise-specific security requirements are managed on your behalf.

Keep Your Crew Looked After at Piraeus

Get specialist local support from agents in the Athens area, with Athens International Airport (Eleftherios Venizelos) accessible for international crew rotations via metro.

Crew changes are managed with Greek immigration and transport. Stores, provisions, spares, Cash to Master, and medical assistance are sourced through established Greek maritime supplier contacts in the Piraeus port community.

Run your Piraeus calls through one Athens-based team, with 24/7 availability and regular updates throughout.
